Review: Luck Episode 1

This is a review of the HBO show Luck by "Middle Class" Matt Nicholson.

In the first episode of Luck Dustin Hoffman's character "Ace" Bernstein gets out of jail(he has been locked up for 3 years) and attempts to take up were he left off in his criminal activies. Walter Smith, played by Nick Nolte is a older horse trainer with a special horse. Also, there are some low life characters trying to pick 6 horse races correctly and win almost 3 million dollars. Luck is an interesting layered show about a horse racing track, with many subplots as well.

This last week in the NFL was a wild and unpredictable one. The Green Bay Packers' machine was derailed, and with the Colts winning in week 15 and this Thursday, a few teams are looking for some "Luck." I was 5-9 in week 15, this was by far my worst week for predictions. I am now 56-29 over the last 6 weeks. With a little luck maybe I can get back on track this Christmas week.
